Hi! I am Alexa, and I am a recent college grad in pursuit of a career in neuroscience research. Aside from lab work, I am avidly passionate about Spanish, salsa dancing, cooking lentils, playing basketball, traveling, and catching the sunset whenever I can. 

As I enter the research world, I am excited to employ tools from my Psychological and Brain Sciences degree as well as my Professional Writing Minor to make medical advancements in the mental health realm, while also successfully conveying the importance of my research findings to the people who benefit most -- patients.

My purpose in life is to love on the world around me and the people in it. In this, I have been called to address mental illness -- one of the most pressing issues faced by modern society -- and to progress treatment options for the many people suffering from psychopathology.
